Artist Paul Prestidge

I am a local artist who has been living in Deptford for over 45 years. I have always found this area fascinating and particularly enjoyed both the industrial and natural areas along the Thames corridor and elsewhere in the urban landscape.

I am happy to be able to use this space to exhibit pictures that I have created over the past 20 years or so. A number of materials have been used, including watercolour, pastels, digital images, a pen, ink, and pencil.

Each month, I will exhibit a selection of themed pictures, nearly all of which are inspired by local places.

The pictures are for sale, and all proceeds will go towards supporting the work of the Creekside Discovery Centre.

If you are interested in one of the pictures, please email Kelvin at info@creeksidecentre.org.uk stating which picture you are interested in by quoting the picture's title and providing contact information. You will then be able to view the image, and if you are happy with the choice, you will be asked to pay to the Creekside Education Centre.

When winter comes, it’s hard to find colour and inspiration in the cold greys and browns of nature and the city environment. However, some colour can still be found in berries and the flowers of ornamental winter flowering shrubs in and around Deptford. This month’s paintings are composed of such berries and flowers that I stuck in a pot and set about painting.

Most pictures will be unmounted and not framed. Pictures can be mounted on request and at a small extra charge.
