An Open Site event for the whole community! 

As winter approaches, join us for a delightful afternoon of winter crafts celebrating nature at this time of year. There will be something for all ages, so bring the whole family for to cosy up by our fire pits, sample warm spiced drinks, toast marshmallows, and celebrate the season's arrival.

Activities:

  • All ages - Crafting Festive Decorations: Get creative and make festive decorations to take home and deck your halls. We provide all the craft resources you need to create charming Santa sticks, adorable red-breasted robins, and beautifully embellished Deptford Creek pebbles.
  • Ages 6+ - Badge making and Victorian Christmas Cracker making: Design and print your own Creekside badge, and join Deptford Ragged School to learn more about how Christmas was celebrated in the local area in the past
  • Ages 12+ - Bespoke Botanical Bookmark printing - Older young people and adults can cozy up by the fire and carefully prepare their own plant print, the perfect personalised gift!
  • All ages - Marshmallow Toasting: Warm up by the fire as the day draws in, and enjoy toasting marshmallows to perfection
  • All ages - Meet the team and learn about our current projects! If you're just looking for an opportunity to visit Creekside, this is the perfect chance. The site will be busy, but we have a team of staff and volunteers who will be happy to show you around and discuss our ongoing work including our new Biodiverse Lawn, our collaboration with Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network, our soil scrapes on Sue Godfrey Nature Park, and more.

Refreshments:

  • Mince Pies: Savor delicious mince pies, a classic winter treat.
  • Mulled Apple Juice: Wash down your treats with freshly made mulled apple juice, perfect for warming you up from the inside out.
  • Tea, Coffee, and Squash: Various beverages will also be available to suit all tastes.
  • And for the adults... some mulled wine will be available!

Tickets are just £2 per person. To ensure we have enough supplies for everyone, please book your tickets in advance. This will help us with our shopping and preparation.
