STEM and The Environment - After-school Club Week 2 - Wednesday 5th July 2023
A weekly club 3.30-4.45pm, for 11-14 year olds
Expand your understanding of science at school and find out more about how Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) work in real life. Build on the knowledge you have gained at primary and secondary school so far and extend your understanding of the issues facing our natural environment.
Week 2 - Pond wildlife.
Each participant can work towards an accredited CREST award, by working in groups to complete a problem-solving project. CREST awards are respected by universities and employers and make a great addition to students' personal statements and UCAS applications. Note - some additional work in between sessions will be needed to achieve the award of the certificate. A total of 5 hours is required to award the certificate.
This Club takes place once a week after-school for 3 weeks.
