We're excited to announce Creekside Discovery Centre will open our gates for a Summer Celebration on Friday 26th July!

Join us in getting up close and personal with wild plants and animals that share the bit of the planet we live on. Just like last year, we will be hosting a packed afternoon and evening of activities including wildflower exploration, pond dipping, and other family-friendly activities. Meet the team of staff, volunteers and trustees, and find out more about our work to protect and conserve the local natural environment. 

Events will kick off at 15:30. Activities will include:

  • Pond dipping (at 15.45 and 17.30)
  • Move Like Water & Scream for the Sea (16:45) - breath workshop & poetry with Y'MUM
  • Crab racing (19.00)
  • Wildflower exploration (drop-in)
  • Bug hunting (drop-in)
  • Slimewatch algae investigation (drop-in)
  • Nature crafts (drop-in)

On the day we are also joined by some fabulous local partners, including:

  • Therapy 4 Healing - offering FREE taster head, neck and shoulder massages
  • Bat Conservation Trust - for all your bat queries, activities and ideas on how to support them
