Tuesday, 6th August  18:00 - 20:00

Herbaria have been used since the 18th century to record and study plants.  The expertise gained in preserving plants in this way is important both for taxonomy and conservation.  'Conservation depends on recording, which depends on correct identification, which may in turn depend on collecting' (A Chater, Fieldwork for Atlas 2020)

We will be collecting and preserving plant specimens collected from Creekside grounds and looking at how we use keys to idenitfy plants in the field.  Also we will be mounting specimens collected from Sue Godfrey Nature Park during 2024.

Meeting Point - Creekside Discovery Centre

To ensure this activity is accessible to all it is free to join. If you can afford to make an additional donation with your ticket booking please do so. All funds go towards our education and conservation activities.
