Wednesday 14th May, 16.00-17.45

This event is for teachers and school staff interested in promoting environmental and outdoor learning in schools. We want to support schools to connect young people (and the wider school community!) with the outdoors. Join us for a free relaxing evening at Sue Godfrey Nature Park and some free refreshments!

This is the second of 3 sessions, where we aim to facilitate a welcoming space for school staff. If you are passionate about the environment and promoting environmental learning in your school please join us! If you have a leadership role for sustainability, outdoor learning, forest school, trips, or any other areas that link with learning outside the classroom this is the event for you. Or if you're a classroom teacher who would like to develop their knowledge and skills in engaging with outdoor learning then come along too!

In this session we will visit Sue Godfrey Nature Park, which we manage on behalf on Lewisham Council. We'll discuss how to utilise public space for outdoor learning and share some of our tips and tricks for managing groups in open public areas. You can:

  • Meet like minded others from neighbouring local schools
  • Share good practice
  • Discuss outdoor learning with Creekside staff
  • Develop your knowledge of local ecology and history

To register for free please complete this short form - https://forms.office.com/e/axK85gy9er

The content of the final session is not fully decided, and we welcome input from attendees - so if you have something you want to learn more about, some good practice you'd like to share with others, or a discussion you'd like to facilitate, please come to this session and speak to Creekside staff to see how this might be possible!

Session 3 - Environmental Learning Network (for school staff) 09/07/25

This event is made possible by funding from Deptford Challenge Trust.
