Sunday, 28th January,  10:30 - 12:30

Join us as we survey the birdlife of the Creek. We will meet at Creekside Discovery Centre and then start surveying at the southern end of the Creek from the land and make our way north to where the Creek meets the Thames.

Whether you are an expert or a complete beginner, this will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your doorstep.

What to expect:

- a short talk on a bird species or bird-related topic

- a guided bird walk recording what birds we see at a fixed point during the walk

- help with identifying birds visually and by birdsong

By joining similar events, you will better understand seasonal cycles and improve your ID skills.

What to bring:

If you own a pair of binoculars and further ID guides/books, you can bring them along. We have a limited number of binoculars you can borrow during the day.

Meeting point:

We will meet at 14 Creekside, Deptford, SE84SA.

Prebooking is essential. Book now to confirm your place. If you have to cancel your place for any reason, please get in touch via info@creeksidecentre.org.uk

All ages can join the Deptford Creek bird survey. For everyone aged 15 and under, they will also need a parent/guardian with them to attend.
