Creekside Holiday STEM Club - Wednesday 6th April 2022
A daily Holiday Club on the 6th, 7th and 8th of April, for 11-14 year olds.
Expand your understanding of science at school and find out more about how science and engineering work in real life. Build on the knowledge you have gained at primary and secondary school so far and extend your understanding of the issues facing our natural environment.
This practical, hands-on holiday club aims to build confidence and skills in an outdoor environment. If you are aged 11 to 14 and are interested in science, nature, engineering, or problem-solving then this is your chance to discuss how some of the problems we face right here in Deptford link to global issues. Explore the relationship between engineering and environmental protection and learn how the environment can be protected by scientists and engineers.
This course takes place after school once a day, over three days. You’ll need to commit to all three sessions and the price is just £15 for all three.
We would like everyone to be able attend our activities and do not want the cost to be a barrier. If you can afford to pay the full price please do. If you are a local resident and would find it difficult to pay the full price, please email us at paddy@creeksidecentre.org.uk and we will send you a local resident discount code.
Time and Location: 10.30am-12pm at Creekside Discovery Centre, 14 Creekside, SE8 4SA. You will need to arrange drop-off/collection from the site.
Dates - Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th and Friday 8th of April
Suitable for - 11 to 14 year olds (Y6 to Y10).
The course duration is three sessions over three days, just £15 for all three. We will provide all resources and equipment.
