Students said it was a great experience; “Amazing because we had the chance of going in the river and found crabs!”
96% of respondents rated their visit 5 stars out of 5. It is great to know that what we do has impact; 100% of teachers said their young people gained valuable experience doing outdoor and adventurous activity with 72% feeling a surge in confidence.
Our learning programmes are aimed at building confidence in a real life environment and growing awareness and understanding about the local wildlife, fauna and history of the area. 68% grew their local history knowledge and 68% gained an “involvement in fieldwork”.
It’s been a really tough year for everyone especially young people so it was good to hear that what we offer resonates with both teachers and their students, one teacher commented; “It was a really great opportunity for the children to experience an environment other than the classroom after such a long time with covid restrictions!”
