Students said it was a great experience; “Amazing because we had the chance of going in the river and found crabs!”

96% of respondents rated their visit 5 stars out of 5. It is great to know that what we do has impact; 100% of teachers said their young people gained valuable experience doing outdoor and adventurous activity with 72% feeling a surge in confidence. 

Our learning programmes are aimed at building confidence in a real life environment and growing awareness and understanding about the local wildlife, fauna and history of the area. 68% grew their local history knowledge and 68% gained an “involvement in fieldwork”.

It’s been a really tough year for everyone especially young people so it was good to hear that what we offer resonates with both teachers and their students, one teacher commented; “It was a really great opportunity for the children to experience an environment other than the classroom after such a long time with covid restrictions!”

Teachers said our learning experiences are: “flawless” with “just the right amount of time at all activities”.

It was fantastic! The kids absolutely loved it! They got real life experience of river after learning about them all term. The real world experience of field work and learning about the local area has been invaluable. Thank you!”
