Nearly 200 people visited us on Saturday 25 September. It was great to introduce ourselves to new neighbours and to meet you.
We had lots going on with archaeology from the Thames Discovery Programme, displays of super sewers from Tideway our partners, discovery trails from Penny Dreadful, insects and bugs with Royal Parks Mission Invertebrate Team, and our mini low tide walks, Creekside honey and live crab racing which was much anticipated! The food was great thanks to Dookies Grill and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.
The Open Day is an opportunity for the charity to share what we do for people and wildlife in the area and spread the word so that more people can meet the Creek and learn about how they can play their part in helping the environment. We really hope you visit us again, there is so much going on at the Centre this Autumn from Family Days Scavenger Hunts to Discover your Wilderhood and of course Low Tide Walks!
